Bedrock: How To Upload Marketplace Addons?

This article shows you step-by-step on how to upload marketplace addons to your Bedrock server.

All marketplace addons can’t be installed to a dedicated server! Marketplace addon files are encrypted and because of this some addons might not work exactly like they should or could crash the server on startup. If you’re getting the network port occupied error after installing addons to your server then you can’t use these addons.

Please note that EACH PLAYER THAT JOINS must be required to own the marketplace addon that you’re looking to upload onto the server.

Make sure that you enable these addons on your singleplayer world beforehand as otherwise, you are not able to join.

How To Upload Marketplace Addons?

  1. Create a world in singleplayer and activate the marketplace addons in that world.

  2. Open your singleplayer world's folder and create the following folders in there called "resource_packs" and "behavior_packs".

  3. Copy the wanted resource packs into the "resource_packs" folder and same with behavior packs to "behavior_packs" folder. The resource- and behavior packs can be found in these locations:

AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_...\LocalState\premium_cache\resource_packs
AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_...\LocalState\premium_cache\behavior_packs

In some cases paid behavior packs can cause issues. If adding both behavior and resource packs causes the server to crash on startup then adding only a resource pack or only a behavior pack might work as well.
