How to OP Yourself on Your Minecraft Server

This article shows you step-by-step on how to OP yourself in your server.

You will not be able to use any admin commands in-game until you OP yourself on your server. When giving yourself OP, make sure you're logged in to the server.

How To OP Yourself (Player Manager)?

  1. Head over to the Game Panel and make sure your server is running.

  2. Navigate to the “Player Manager” tab and click on the “Add New Player” button.

  1. Select “OP” from the list and type your name into the box. Then press “Add”.

How To OP Yourself (Manually)?

  1. Head over to the Game Panel and make sure your server is running.

  2. You can OP yourself using the "op YourUsername" command in the console or deop using the "deop YourUsername" command.

    Here's an example screenshot of giving myself OP:

If you're on Bedrock or have enabled crossplay, you might have a "." or space in your username. In this case, simply run the following command (between the "" symbols).

  • op "Your Username"

  • op ".YourUsername"
